Pancreas
The pancreas is a gland located behind the stomach and in front of the column. It produces juices that help break down food and hormones that help control blood sugar levels. Pancreas problems can cause many problems kesehatan.Fungsinya to secrete digestive enzymes into the small intestine and produce hormones such as insulin for proper digestion of sugar. This hormone then headed into the bloodstream (endocrine function).
The pancreas also has a role in diabetes. In type I diabetes, the beta cells of the pancreas does not produce insulin due to the reaction of the immune system against them. In type 2 diabetes, the pancreas loses the ability to secrete enough insulin in response to meals.
